Registration & Tuition 

All students must pay a registrstion fee of $500 to secure and reserve their classroom seat. Course fee is $1,500 ($1,100 for students outside of Bexar County). Students are allowed to give payments for the remainder $1,000 but students must pay the course in full before receiving a certificate of completion and before being considered for job placement opportunities. Students must participate in all classroom lectures as well as all field training exercises as part of the course requirements. Attendance is very important!!! Classroom lectures may be postponed as homework assignments but not field training exercises. Students must attend all field training!!!!! 
 

Financial Aid or VA Benefits 

Texas Private Investigator School does not offer financial aid or is associated with Veterans Affairs for tuition assistance. All students must pay the course by Check, Money Order, Debit, Credit Card or cash payment. A 10% fee will be charged for all debit or credit card transactions. 

Job Placement Opportunities 

After successfully completing the course and paying the course in full, the school director will evaluate each student. Students must score an average of 85% or higher on all quizes and final exam. Students may retake quizes and final exam if need be. At the discretion of the School Director, students will them proceed for PI job opportunities. Students will then be determined for either internship positions, part-time, full-time or seasonal work with Metropolitan Private Investigations (TX DPS Lic #A30829901).
 

State Licensing Fees 

State licensing fees are not included with course tuition. After the student satisfactory completes all course requirements, students will be assisted for their individual PI license. An online portal will be created by the student and a state application will be submitted. PI license state fee is $37 + FBI fingerprint fees of $28.25 and the live scan IdentoGO fingerprint fee is $10 cash. Total cost for is $75.25. These fees may change by the state on a yearly basis. Once the state application is submitted, it takes approximately one to two months for the state to process all new applications (Students may do internship with MPI in the meantime). A criminal background will be completed by the state of Texas (not a financial background). Students may have criminal convictions but depending on the nature and severity of the crime, the state may discualify or deny the student for a state license. Most felonies have to be more than 10 years since the date of conviction and most misdemeanors must be more than 5 years since the date of conviction. Texas Private Investigator School or Metropolitan Private Investigations do not issue the state license.
